About Us

Our Story / History

Cambodian Children’s Destiny is a non profit organisation that was granted NGO status by the Royal Cambodian Government on 18th March, 2014. It is located in the small village of Phum O, Sangvuey Commune, Chikreng District Siem Reap Angkor, Cambodia. It is around 45 Kilometres east of Siem Reap, travelling along National Road 6 through the picturesque Cambodian countryside.

The organization was founded by monks from Wat Polangka, Siem Reap who grew up in the Phum O area and wanted to improve the lives of the people in their village. We welcome visitors to the village and if you are looking to experience a rural school and village please contact us to arrange a visit.

Our Mission & Vision

Cambodian Children’s Destiny is a non-profit organization working to uplift and inspire hope in Cambodia’s rural communities through education and compassion. We are deeply rooted in the belief that every child—no matter where they are born—deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Our mission is to create lasting change by providing children in rural areas with access to education, life skills, and community support, helping them build a foundation for a better future.

Our vision is a future where rural Cambodian children are empowered, educated, and equipped to lead their communities with wisdom, kindness, and confidence—unlocking the full potential of Cambodia’s next generation.

Meet the Team

Tho Sokhun (Founder, Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership)

“Every child in rural Cambodia holds a spark of potential. With access to quality education, that spark becomes a guiding light. By supporting their learning, we’re not only changing one life—we’re shaping the destiny of a generation, building a brighter and stronger future for all of Cambodia.”

Tonh Tola (Board, Master’s Degree in Computer Science)

“Children in remote villages often face the greatest challenges, yet they hold the greatest promise. When we invest in their education, we unlock hidden talent, nurture hope, and create leaders for tomorrow. Cambodia’s future depends on the opportunities we give these young hearts today.”

Tho Sey ( Principal, Bachelor’s Degree in Management)

“Education is the most powerful gift we can offer children in rural Cambodia. It breaks the cycle of poverty, opens doors to opportunity, and builds a foundation for lasting change. Helping them learn is helping Cambodia rise—with dignity, strength, and purpose.”
